Introduction:
Rei is the third sailor senshi discovered when people start mysteriously disappearing from the shrine she works at. Rei does not attend Juuban Secondary School with the other girls, but goes to a private Catholic school called T*A Private Girls Academy. She lives with her grandpa and Kumada Yuuchirou (a street beggar who decided to work at the temple as a disciple of Rei's grandfather) in Hiwaka Shrine, where she is studying to become a Miko (a Shinto temple maiden). Rei has many psychic abilities, and her skills as a priestess often come in handy when it comes to locating an enemy or its weaknesses.

As Sailor Mars, all of Rei's power are flame based, which fits her fiery personality. Rei has an awful temper, and has a tendency to fight with Usagi. In season one, Rei challenged Usagi's abilities as leader several times, and even dated Mamoru! As the season progresses, Rei and Usagi form a very close friendship, and some even think they are best friends.

Mars Power, Make Up!: Sailor Mars's first transformation phrase used during the first season.

Mars Star Power, Make Up!: Sailor Mars's second transformation phrase used during the second season, Sailor Moon R. First appears in episode 63.

Mars Crystal Power, Make Up!: Rei transforms into Super Sailor Mars, her most powerful form, with this phrase. It first appears in episode 154 during the Super S season, and is used until the end of the series.

Fire Soul: Sailor Mars's weakest attack used mostly during the first season. Mars puts her hands together forming a gun with her index fingers pointing out, and shoots a beam of fire
Fire Soul Bird: Very similar to her "Fire Soul" attack, only the beam of fire turns into a bird. It first appeared in episode 54 (Sailor Moon R season).
Burning Mandala: Sailor Mars's primary attack in the R season used after receiving her "Mars Star Power" transformation phrase; first appeared in episode 63. Sailor Mars draws a circle of fire around herself with the index finger of her left hand. The ring turns into a series of eight fireballs, which come together in the palms of her outstretched hands, and are then thrown at the enemy.
Mars Flame Sniper: Sailor Mars's final and most powerful attack, first appearing in episode 154 during the Super S season; used after receiving "Mars Crystal Power" transformation phrase. A bow-and-arrow made of fire appears in her outstretched hand, which she shoots at the enemy. Mars uses this attack until the end of the series.
